When You Can’t Find the Words to Say Part 2

Speaking life (or death) is such a real component to a Christian’s life. We as believers have the ability to speak life (which includes: blessings, spiritual growth and breaking of curses [ Gal 3:13]) through both sharing Christ and developing other believers in spiritual wisdom. We also have the ability to speak death into people’s lives. This is accomplished when a Christian allows the flesh to shine instead of Jesus. When Christians gossip (there is no “harmless” gossip), lie or berate anyone then the affected person’s view of Jesus is tainted. Not only this but when anyone tells another human about how they are unable to perform a function (worthlessness) or how that person is dumb, stupid or any other words you want to list then it becomes a curse of death. This is due to a potential authority figure stating a characteristic as a fact into the other person’s life. This person then either chooses to rebel or takes on the word spoken by that person. I will go more in-depth in the third installation of this article but understand this that life and death are in the power of the tongue. What you say on earth impacts what happens in heaven (Matt 18:18)
