Church Conference Approves Sale of Parsonage

TTUMC members approved the sale of the church parsonage  Jan. 20, 2010, in a well-attended church conference in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30pm.

The church conference was presided over by Rev. Lawrence Barriner of Mt. Zion church in Clearwater.

Trustee Chair Lee Clemens presented at length the due diligence which the Trustees had performed in keeping the congregation informed about the church sale and in seeking approval and feedback. At each step of the way, the congregation had been supportive of the idea of selling the parsonage and the benefits it would bring. After Lee's excellent presentation, David Bulluck (Jr.) moved that we sell, and Kendra Craven seconded. Several questions were asked and answered at that point, and the final vote was all in favor, none opposed.

We are grateful to Rev. Barriner for so ably guiding us through the church conference process, and to Lee Clemens and the other Trustees who handled the sale of the parsonage so openly and expertly.
